Roy Birtles

Experience and expertise

Roy qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 having completed his training with a local practice in his home town of Bridgend. He joined Kahn Thomas Shankland in 1985, becoming partner in 1989 and a founder director of ktsowensthomas in 2003. Roy now leads our tax services and a highly experienced specialist tax team.

Besides being accountant and tax advisor to his client list, Roy acts as a non executive finance director for some co-ordinating financial strategy and long term financial targets for those businesses. Roy also specializes in advising Commercial Property developers acting for some of the major developers in south Wales.

Education

Before becoming a Chartered Accountant in 1984, Roy studied for a BSc (Econ) at Cardiff University.

Roy is a devoted fan of Manchester City so is used to disappointment, boom or bust, wealth management and hopefully success in the short term! Useful in his job!
