Experience and expertise

Phil started his career working with Kahn Thomas Shankland in August 1981 as a trainee accountant. Since then he has worked his way up the career ladder through the merger of ktsowensthomas in 2003 to become a director.

Over his career, Phil has enjoyed the complete accounting experience. Working as a general practitioner, Phil has obtained a wealth of experience working with clients from all walks of life. As a trainee he started at the grassroots level working with small clients and over his career has created management teams to service individual sectors. He now focuses upon the medium to large end of his client portfolio, undertakes Tax investigation work, as well as heading up the wealth management division of the business.

His main specialisms are construction, professional services, retail, car dealers and IT.

Three dimensional fact

Once a keen footballer, Phil played five-a-side, but had to give up his glittering football career due to too many injuries! He can now be found pounding the treadmill at the gym at least 3 times a week!
