Experience and expertise

Trained in one of the ‘big four’ accounting firms, Gareth is a founding partner of ktsowensthomas and has worked in private practice for nearly 30 years.

Gareth has extensive experience of working with both the private and public sectors, honing his expertise through a number of high profile posts including being a non-executive director of Milford Haven Port Authority. His client portfolio includes a number of high profile privately owned businesses acting not only as their accountant but also as their business and commercial advisor.

In addition, Gareth has extensive internal audit and risk management consultancy expertise having worked with a broad range of public sector bodies and he sits on the Audit and Risk Committees of a number of large UK and European regulatory bodies.

Education

Gareth is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and an Affiliate of the Institute of Internal Auditors in the UK and Ireland. He has also attended an executive management development programme at Harvard Business School in the United States.
