Joint venture forms ktsowensthomas Wealth Management

One of Wales’ leading accountancy firms, ktsowensthomas, is entering a new joint venture with SD Asset Management to provide clients with wealth management advice at a time when investment decisions are unclear, particularly within the housing, equities and pension markets.

ktsowensthomas Wealth Management has been formed to provide clients of the accountancy practice and the wider business community with combined access to financial planning expertise and the existing services of the firm to ensure that informed and appropriate financial choices are made.

Offering a consolidated team of experts under the helm of financial planner Neil Jaundrell, the new venture, which is regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), will offer independent advice on pensions, investments, inheritance tax and protection.

Says Neil: “There has never been a more appropriate time to give clients advice on making sound investments and we fully appreciate that off-the-shelf solutions do not suit everyone. Every client has their own attitude to risk and the solution that would work for one, simply wouldn’t work for another. The new wealth management arm will provide bespoke advice with the goal of sustaining and growing the long term wealth of our clients.”

Established five years ago, ktsowensthomas has grown its offering from traditional accountancy to all-round business support and now operates out of two locations with a head office in Cardiff Bay and regional office in Aberdare covering Rhondda Cynon Taf, Heads of the Valleys and Mid Wales.

Continues ktsowensthomas director Phil Hurley: “This is a fantastic opportunity for clients to benefit from a full circle of financial advice. Our accountants can address any tax issues, while our wealth management experts can provide the funding choices to meet all their objectives. The combined effort means that our clients have more security that all the relevant criteria will be considered and the right choices made.”

Adds Steve Danner of SD Asset Management: “There are thousands of investment funds out there, both here in the UK and offshore, so knowing where to invest your money can inevitably be a minefield even at the best of times. Having access to well-rounded advice from a team of experts will undoubtedly ease some of the concerns our clients may have. By understanding their tax and financial issues, we can now work to ensure their product choices are consistent with their overall investment objectives. This service will give added value to our clients from the highest calibre professionals.”
