ktsowensthomas director gains expert witness accreditation

Russell JenkinsRussell Jenkins, director of ktsowensthomas accountants, has been accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) as an expert witness in forensic accountancy.

One of only 14 individuals to receive the accreditation, Mr. Jenkins has attained the highest forensic accounting qualification possible adding to his impressive CV, which also sees him as a member of both the Expert Witness Institute and the Academy of Experts.

His expertise in this area, allows him to provide clients with his specialist opinion throughout the litigation process. In addition, as an accredited witness by the ICAEW, Mr. Jenkins’ name will now be included on the online specialist witness public register for individuals in search of reputable expert witnesses in forensic accountancy to access.

On receiving the accreditation, Mr Jenkins said: “I am delighted to have been named a specialist in this field. This is a qualification that will enable me to offer clients a service of complete support throughout contentious matters and court proceedings, and one that will allow ktsowensthomas to continue to build its reputation as one of Wales’ most well-rounded and competent firms of accountants.

Mr Jenkins, a qualified lawyer who joined ktsowensthomas in 2001 to run the firm’s forensic accounting department, has provided support in both civil and criminal court proceedings up to High Court stages. Now ICAEW accredited he will continue to handle dispute resolution proceedings and to manage the business’s forensic accounting assignments as an expert in his field.

In his career, he has been responsible for over 100 forensic accounting assignments, valuing private companies for dispute resolution or ancillary relief purposes, preparing personal injury quantum reports including Ogden 6 & pension matters, advising on consequential loss claims and employment law disputes.
