Over 16 years of experience providing commercially focused tax advice to a wide range of businesses from owner managed through to large international and listed entities
I am an Associate Director overseeing the Tax Department at KTS Owens Thomas. I have over 16 years of experience providing commercially focused tax advice to a wide range of businesses, from owner managed companies through to large international and listed entities.
My experience was gained working for one of the ‘Big Four’ namely Deloitte, which meant serving the South West region and Wales marketplace and working across a wide range of sectors. Thanks to longstanding client engagements, my knowledge of Land and Property, Energy, Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Motor Dealership sectors is extensive. In addition, I have significant experience in advising companies with international focus, including foreign-owned UK Corporates, UK Headquartered Multinationals and UK Companies looking to expand overseas.
As well as providing a robust compliance service for my clients, I believe it’s important to provide proactive advisory services to ensure the clients tax position is best-aligned to their business strategy. This includes providing tax advice on acquisition strategies, integrating companies post-acquisition and ensuring the right amount of tax is paid across all aspects of the business. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax – I graduated from Cardiff University with a Law Degree in 1999, and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor.
Three Dimensional Fact
In my spare time I like to go to the West Wales coast and spend time with my wife and two young daughters. I am also a keen runner and cyclist, having recently cycled from Amsterdam to Bruges as part of a charity bike ride.
